Beethoven Piano Concerto No.2
Beethoven Piano Concerto No.4

Firm Festival favourites, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, have delighted us in recent years with their sold-out performances of Beethoven Piano Concertos. The cycle comes to a close this year with Concerto No.2 and, arguably the best of them all, Concerto No.4, with young pianist Jan Lisiecki, replacing Murray Perahia at short notice.

Praise for Jan Lisiecki:

“…perhaps the most ‘complete’ pianist of his age” BBC MUSIC MAGAZINE

“…pristine, lyrical and intelligent” THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Jan Lisiecki. Remember the name!” THE FINANCIAL TIMES
