Join the Tzar’s Curious Runaways as they run for their lives! Katinka Dashkova, a dazzling ballerina born with a curved back, and her friends Alexei the Giant and Nikolai the Dwarf are different. That’s why they’re part of the Tzar’s ‘Circus of Curiosities’. But the Tzar, their protector, is dead and the children must flee the Winter Palace for their lives. Author Robin Scott-Elliot will talk about the fascinating and shocking real-life story behind his fictional ‘curious runaways’, as well as his career as sports journalist, which included covering the 2012 Olympics.
