This intimate Cambridge show is part of a national tour in Spring 2020 to promote Jordan’s debut album ‘Foreigner’ which is released on the 13th March 2020
The Coventry raised, London-based singer is the perfect combination of his Congolese roots and Midlands upbringing. His soul soaked, deeply personal tracks swim in the sounds and stories of the cities he’s inhabited over the years. Inspired by his mother’s love of the great soul singers, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and Curtis Mayfield, Jordan combines his timeless vocal with catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics to create a soulful sound which will enchant and uplift in equal measure.
Jordan has previously been supported by the likes of NME, Wonderland, Clash, Mahogany & The Line of Best Fit; built up over 30 million streams across previous releases and has sold out 4 headline shows in London, played support slots at Village Underground, Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Hyde Park’s British Summertime.
With his new album coming out in December, this will firmly position Jordan as one of the best up and coming British male soul singers. The Beach Sessions show offers a rare opportunity to see Jordan in an intimate Chapel venue which is perfectly suited to his soulful sound.

About the Beach Sessions
For over 7 years Beach Sessions has put on many leading international songwriters and bands including Boo Hewerdine, The Slow Show, MG Boulter, Rue Royale, Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Blue Rose Code. Most of our sessions take place at our favourite venue, Waterbeach Baptist Chapel, due to its excellent acoustics and ambience. It is also small enough to experience intimate sessions where the artist is only a few feet away.

“In a Victorian chapel lit with gorgeous pink lights and fed with homemade cake, Waterbeach has clearly been holding out on us. From start to finish, the whole thing was exceedingly beautiful – proof that you don’t need to venture into the city to get high quality music.”
