Join us for Music in the Parks 2024!

Wednesday 8 May 2024

Celebrate summertime in Cambridge in musical style, as Music in the Parks makes a welcome return from June. The programme of free Sunday afternoon concerts is open to all and will take place on beautiful green open spaces throughout the whole of the city.

Organised by Cambridge City Council, the music events are generously supported by Cambridge BID; Marketing and Communications Manager, Becky Burrell, said: ‘Music in the Parks is such a popular summer highlight in the city. The concerts give everyone in the community, the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful time of the year in Cambridge’s lovely local parks and recreation grounds, while relaxing and listening to live afternoon music in the company of friends and family!’

The series of six free concerts offers an array of music, all perfect for a summer’s afternoon. From infectious and irresistible ska dance rhythms of Cambridge’s massively popular Big 10 and Colonel Hathi; sophisticated funk and pop; mesmerising multi-voiced choral creations; the joyous sound of swing jazz, blues, soul and Latin, and the warm strains of brass on a summery breeze…these will be essential weekly dates in the diary. Easy-going outdoor Sunday afternoons of music, a great excuse for a picnic…and all for free! And kids can also enjoy free arts and crafts sessions taking place at the same time.
