Big Weekend Charity Stalls Application

The Big Weekend is an annual community festival held on Parkers’ Piece, Cambridge, providing three days of free family entertainment. On Sunday 7th July of the Big Weekend there will be an opportunity for local charities to promote their charity, sign up new members and/or fundraise by selling merchandise and other small items. We are seeking applications from charities interested in a pitch in the Charity Stall Marquee

Mela Trader Application

Sunday 7th July of the Big Weekend is the Cambridge Mela, celebrating Asian culture, music, dance and craft, with music on the main stage, community performances in the marquees, dance, workshops, children and family activities, and a Mela Market area. We are seeking applications for people interested in a pitch in the Mela market area.

Becoming a Greener Festival

  • Bring your own mug or reusable water bottle
  • Always separate your recyclable waste
  • Bring your own bag – plastic bags never fully biodegrade
  • Car pool, take public transit, or cycle to your next festival
  • Ask food vendors for compostable plates and cutlery
  • Whenever possible purchase local and organic food and beverage options
  • Use mobile apps and websites for information instead of printed brochures
  • Don’t forget your chairs and rubbish when you leave
  • Properly dispose of any cigarette butts and grey water
