As the nights grow longer and the leaves transform, the Cambridge Corn Exchange is set to usher in the autumn season with a captivating line-up of performances and events.
Nestled in the heart of this historic city, the Cambridge Corn Exchange has long been a cultural and entertainment hub, and this autumn is no exception. On behalf of the Cambridge City Council, the venue is gearing up to host an array of events catering to a wide range of audiences, from music and comedy to theatre and dance.
As part of our 'International Classical Concert Mini-Series,' we take immense pride in hosting the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine on the 25th of October 2023. Recognized as one of Eastern Europe's premier symphony orchestras, they are making their inaugural appearance in Cambridge.
In the true Corn Exchange fashion, we offer a diverse selection of rock and pop acts. Kicking things off, we have the Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells 50th Anniversary Celebration, featuring an expansive live group arranged by Mike Oldfield's long-time collaborator, Robin A Smith. The Waterboys, with their highly revered live show, and Grammy-nominated rockers Rival Sons will make their Corn Exchange debut. Fan favourites McFly will grace our stage for two nights, performing an adored catalogue boasting Seven No.01 singles over Six albums! Legendary Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant presents Saving Grace; Beverley Knight will celebrate her 50th Birthday and incredible career, and one of the UK's most exciting new pop talents, Dylan, is joining us. If that isn't enough, we will get festive with special performances from Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her Christmas Disco Tour; plus the much-loved Kate Rusby and her Christmas tour full of warmth, sparkles, and festive music! Plus, so much more.
We continue to bring much-loved and legendary comedy stars to the stage, such as Tom Davis and his 'Underdog Tour'; Georgie Carroll, best known as the UK-born, Australia-based Nurse turned comedian, as seen on Britain's Got Talent; and Phil Wang, hot off the heels of his critically acclaimed Netflix special. The brilliant Romesh Ranganathan will be trying out some new material for us ahead of his new tour, while Live at Christmas will provide the best comedians for a spectacular all-star festive show featuring Ed Gamble, Fern Brady, Jen Brister, Josh Pugh, and Kyrah Gray.
As our annual festive treat, 'The Nutcracker' will return this December, presented by The International Classic Ballet Theatre. This spectacular family favourite is the perfect introduction to classical ballet. Tchaikovsky's delightful score, performed by a live orchestra, completes this magical experience.
So, mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready to embrace the enchanting spirit of autumn at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. Whether you're a music aficionado, a comedy enthusiast, or simply looking for a memorable night out, there's something for everyone at this historic venue. Don't miss out on the magic!
