Polo & Picnic: Atlantic Cup

Cambridge County Polo Club is opening its doors again this summer to host a series of prestigious Polo & Picnic Days.

 

What could be lovelier than spending a day in the Cambridgeshire countryside with family and friends, watching an exhilarating game of polo whilst enjoying a special picnic, perhaps with a glass of Prosecco?

 

Polo is fast becoming one of the most popular equestrian spectator sports, and weekend visitors can now get up close and personal to this glamorous “Sport of Kings” during the summer tournament season.

 

Park up alongside the pristine polo pitches at Cambridge County Polo Club and bring a picnic to enjoy whilst watching this exciting sport in a relaxed family atmosphere. There is nothing like experiencing the close thunder of the ponies hooves to get a real feeling for the game.

 

There is a fun and informative commentary from the double decker Chukka Bus, which also becomes the scoreboard and viewing platform, and of course "stomping of the divets" is positively welcomed in between the games.

 

New for 2019 will be the Cavendish pitchside bar, as well as selected food trucks for those who prefer to buy something at the venue.

 

This will be a Tournament between the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard & Yale.
