Have you ever thought of re-imagining your favourite poem as a comic? Comics and poetry have a lot in common - if you enjoy drawing / reading comics and manga and would like to try a new arts activity, this session is for you! Guided by professional manga artist, Irina Richards, you will learn about creating comics and adapt a poem into comics’ format.

Suitable for : Children/young people aged 7+

Live captions in English will be available. The session will take place on zoom, for the best experience please make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the zoom app installed. You can use the browser version of zoom if you prefer but some functions such as captions may not be available.

 

We advise that you join the waiting room 10 minutes before the start time of the event

Please use the name that you booked the tickets under, once in the session we can change names so they reflect that of your children if you like.

Please bring with you: some paper to draw on, something to draw with (pencils, pens, pastels, whatever you have available to you is fine).

If you have a poem you would like to use please have this with you. If you don’t have a poem, don’t worry perhaps you would like to choose one of these

The session will not be recorded, we would like to take some screenshots of participants work and with parental / guadian permission of the participants themselves. If permission is not explicitly given the image square will be blacked out. Names will be black out on any images taken.
