Nestled on the banks of the River Cam, Garden House Graduate Cambridge is the perfect spot for an evening of Enchanted Cinema, on the hotel lawn, overlooking the river.
Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman falls in love with the camp’s dance instructor, Johnny Castle.
Baby (Jennifer Grey) is one listless summer away from the Peace Corps. Hoping to enjoy her youth while it lasts, she's disappointed when her summer plans deposit her at a sleepy resort in the Catskills with her parents. Her luck turns around, however, when the resort's dance instructor, Johnny (Patrick Swayze), enlists Baby as his new partner, and the two fall in love. Baby's father forbids her from seeing Johnny, but she's determined to help him perform the last big dance of the summer.
Enchanted Cinema is excited to be working alongside Garden House and Graduate Hotels. An idyllic riverside hotel, Graduate Cambridge is inspired by centuries of rich traditions, storied histories, and academic life. We will be setting up on their gorgeous lawn, right next to the river, with guests able to enjoy dinner and drinks at the bar prior to the screening. This screening will be a public event but all audio will be on personal over-ear headphones.
