This is a concert with a difference. Sublime choral music from the last 500 years has been specially chosen to match ten of Leonardo da Vinci’s best-loved images (to mark his 500th anniversary).
From the Mona Lisa to designs for flying machine prototypes, Leonardo’s work inspires an appealing yet eclectic choice of music: Renaissance music by Tallis, Victoria and Josquin, the Baroque mastery of Monteverdi and JS Bach, and touching works of the last 100 years.
Spoken introductions provide further insights, and the end result is ‘engrossing, sometimes profound & sometimes witty … a superb ensemble, outstanding in their range & versatility.’ (The Guardian on Leonardo)

‘A beautiful son et lumière journey through the mind of Leonardo: … an ingenious “concept” programme that stirs the mind and heart, illuminates the past, and ravishes the ear’ Daily Telegraph on Leonardo
