Equally at home at Ronnie Scott’s or prestigious concert halls around the world, Grammy Award-winner Amy Dickson presents an evening of classical, jazz, Argentinian tango and the minimalism of Philip Glass.
Amy celebrates the saxophone through two great women of 20th-century musical Paris: the great patron of the arts, Princesse de Polignac; and Nadia Boulanger, the composition teacher par excellence whose pupils included Philip Glass and Piazzolla.

For the Glass, Amy has mastered ‘circular breathing’ – the art of breathing in while playing out meaning she can play impossibly long phrases!
‘She has an individual tone, luscious, silky smooth, sultry and voluptuous by turns; her phrasing is beautifully finished, her control of dynamic infinitely subtle.’ Gramophone
