Saturday at the 2018 Folk Festival sees 'punk poet laureate' and musical icon Patti Smith headline, her career has spanned over 40 years and her seminal influence on the rise of the punk movement in New York in the 1970s secured her legendary status to many music lovers around the globe. Guest Curator Rhiannon Giddens is also set to make an appearance on Stage 1, her stunning voice and incredible talent promises to be one of the standout moments of 2018 from the second she appears on stage.
Massachusetts based quartet Darlingside have long been considered one of the finest Indie Folk bands on the planet and this summer they bring their cinematic sound comes to Cambridge. Other artist set to appear on Saturday include: Darren Eedens & The Slim Pickin's, Elephant Sessions, Eric Bibb, John Moreland, The East Pointers and The Shee.
