12.25 - 13.25 | FRIDAY| STAGE 1

Come and be enchanted by the premiere performance of new folk ballet ‘The Sisters of Elva Hill’, an original adaptation of a folk tale ‘Kate Krackernuts’. Watch the magical story unfold as musicians and dancers share the stage, melding two traditions to create a rich narrative tapestry celebrating the story telling roots of both art forms. With a beautiful score woven from traditional British tunes and songs, and infused with expressive and emotive dancing, ‘The Sisters of Elva Hill’ won’t fail to delight and charm you as it explores the timeless themes of love, magic and triumph over evil.

‘The Sisters Of Elva Hill’ is new and original collaborative work by The Henwives Tales – a production company lead by BBC Award winning folk singer Lucy Ward and critically acclaimed contemporary choreographer Deborah Norris.
