Installation: The Colour of Science

Friday 9 February 2018 to Wednesday 14 February 2018
Cambridge Guildhall - CB2 3QJ
The light design for the Guildhall will wash the façade of the building with a choreographed series of sequential ‘light dances’, directly expressing the LGBT rainbow pride flag, in an artful, layered and colourful spectacle.

6-11pm nightly

Specially commissioned for the LGBTQ History Month, this installation is designed by the Lumineer Studio in partnership with Architainment. The rainbow illumination, representative of the spectrum of identities that make up our city, celebrates Cambridge’s long history of LGBTQ scientists and innovators. The spectrum of light is also a clear reference to Sir Isaac Newton’s experiments with the prism which celebrate their 345th anniversary in 2018.

To donate £5 to the Festival text Light to 70500.
