Esther Yoo performs Glazunov

Conductor Michal Nesterowicz
Violin  Esther Yoo

Grieg Holberg Suite
Glazunov Violin Concerto
Richardson Here I Go
Brahms Symphony No.1

‘I have such great memories of performing at the Cambridge Corn Exchange last year alongside the Philharmonia Orchestra and Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy. I am very excited to return in May 2018 as Artist-in-Residence of both the venue and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom I will be performing a concerto that is very special to me, the Glazunov Violin Concerto, which I also recorded for my début album last year.’
Esther Yoo, soloist and Corn Exchange Artist in Residence

As part of this concert there will be a premiere of a new work by Corn Exchange Composer in Residence, Jay Richardson. This piece is inspired by a series of workshops that have taken place over the last few months involving young people from Cambridge's Phoneix Centre, Esther Yoo and musicians from the RPO.

Classical Late:  After the concert wander over to the Cambridge Union bar for a free, fun and informal event with Esther Yoo and friends.  You will have a chance to grab a drink from the bar, hear Esther talk a bit about the concert and also play a few snippets too! After this there will be more live music for you to enjoy - the perfect way to round off your night.

You are welcome to make your own way to the event or you can join a guided group that will be leaving the Corn Exchange foyer 5 minutes after the end of the concert.

Free to concert ticket holders.
