Cambridge’s own anthemic rockers Lonely The Brave play the Corn Exchange on the day they release their second album, Things Will Matter. After already selling out shows locally at The Portland Arms and both venues at Cambridge Junction, this will be their biggest hometown show yet.

After a dream couple of years that saw their critically acclaimed debut album enter the rock charts at no.1, support slots to the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Deftones and a main stage performance in August at Reading / Leeds, this homecoming show should prove to be a special evening indeed.

Previous praise for Lonely The Brave:

“A band whose name will soon be up in lights, whether they like it or not” NME
“This Cambridge quartet specialise in anthems designed to fill arenas, but with a very pointed caveat
that what they do remains several proud steps away from well-worn mainstream rock” The Guardian
“Lonely The Brave could be the biggest band on the planet. Fact.” Rock Sound
“Fit to bursting with anthems that will keep them in festival slots for years to come” Mojo
“Lonely The Brave are simply phenomenal.” Kerrang!

Praise for Lonely The Brave’s Black Mire, the first track released from the new album:

“A grandiose new sound” Evening Standard
“A big, hulking beast of a track” Shortlist
“Grungy, K2-sized riffs, chiming melodies and anguished vocals – this has 90’s alt.rock written all over it” - Metro
“This song confirms the band have lost none of the power of their critically acclaimed debut The Day’s War” Kerrang!
“An explosive return” Clash
