Wednesday 7 March 2018

Back for a second year, and extended to a fortnight, a whole host of gigs, sessions and events took place across the city.

From up and coming talent like NMG award winners, Fred’s House performing at The Portland Arms to sell-out Corn Exchange headliners, Ward Thomas; drop in music sessions at city pubs; Q&A with the legendary Wilko Johnson at Cambridge University’s historic Union Society; world music acts Sona Jobarteh and Chouk Bwa Libete; a free Family Fun Day at The Guildhall; buskers and walkabout characters; an inspirational masterclass from folk stars CC Smugglers at Millers Music; a professional development day, with music industry professionals once again offering gems of advice and a wealth of experience in a day of workshops, talks and sessions through to a Cambridge Junction performance by folk luminaries Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle.

We'll be announcing details for the 2019 Festival in the summer so watch this space!
